Between us, we’ve been COOs, operations managers and business owners, including running operations for trade businesses. We know what it’s like when the business grows faster than the back end, and we love helping builders take back control, get their evenings back and enjoy their business again.

Spek'd was born from a simple idea...
Running a growing business shouldn’t mean running yourself into the ground.
We’ve both spent our careers behind the scenes of growing businesses. Aly as a COO and founding team member, building operations from scratch. Sarah as an operations manager across trades and other industries, and as a business owner herself. Again and again, we saw great businesses held back not by the work they did, but by the systems, processes and structure behind it.
Builders feel this more than most. You’re great at what you do, but between sites, trades, clients and paperwork, there’s rarely time to fix how the business actually runs. That’s where we come in.
We don’t hand you a report and leave. We roll up our sleeves, work alongside you and your team, and stay until the changes stick, so you can grow or take a well-earned break, knowing the business runs without you holding it all together.

Hi, I'm Aly
I found my calling in operations when founders kept asking my “engineering brain” to help set up their businesses and make things run smoothly. I’ve been doing it ever since.
Where Sarah loves the systems, I love the people side: getting roles clear, helping teams work well together and building a plan everyone can get behind. For builders, that often means getting the site and the office on the same page, so jobs run smoothly without you in the middle of every decision.

I've always been the person who wants to know how things work behind the scenes. Setting up and scaling businesses, I found the part I loved most was building out the back end: the systems, processes and structure that let everything else run.
I’m a self-confessed systems nerd. Give me a messy setup and a new platform to sort out, and I’m happy. Most of all, I love seeing a business owner realise they don’t have to hold everything together themselves anymore.
